The Construction of the Puning Campus of South China Normal University Officially Started

On the morning of November 18th, a groundbreaking ceremony was held in Galaxy Mingzhu Bay, Puning to officially start the construction of the Puning Campus of South China Normal University.

South China Normal University is on the list of “Double First-Class” university projects and a keyuniversity in the national “211 Project”. It has an advanced university operations philosophy, rich university operations experience, advanced management methods, and high-quality educational resources. South China Normal University will make great effort to build the campus, transfer core teachers from other affiliated campuses in South China Normal University, and recruit excellent teachers from all over the country to build the campus into a first-class education base in the province.

Puning Campus of South China Normal Universitywas jointly founded by Puning Municipal Government, South China Normal University and Galaxy Holding Group. The school's total investment exceeds 800 million RMB. The school campus will cover an area of more than 320 mu and support a total of more than 200 classes. Galaxy HoldingGroup is responsible for all the construction funds for the school and is once again makinga major contribution to the development of Galaxy’s hometown.

A scholarship fund donation ceremony was also held at the groundbreaking ceremony. Galaxy HoldingGroup donated 10 million RMB and 1 million RMB to Jieyang’s Municipal Government and Puning’s Municipal Government respectively.

The relevant leaders of Puning and representatives of Galaxy Holding Group participated in the event. These participants included Zhu Kongjun, Party Secretary of South China Normal University; Zhang Shiyi, Member of the Standing Committee of Jieyang Municipal Committee and Secretary of Puning Municipal Committee; Chen Dingxiong, Standing Committee Member ofJieyang Municipal Committee, Executive Vice Mayor of Puning Municipal Committee; Lin Gangjie, Deputy Secretary and Mayor of Puning Municipal Government; Yao Huiqiong, Vice Chairwoman and President of Galaxy Holding Group, and others.
