Galaxy Was Awarded the Title of “Responsible Brand Enterprise in 2017”

From January 29 to 30, 2018, the Seventh China Charity Festival was held in Beijing. It is one of the most influential and appealing activities in the public benefit and charity sector in China. Nearly a thousand entrepreneurs, philanthropists, public benefit scholars, media leaders, and government officials from all over the country attended the event to discuss the new atmosphere of public benefit causes in China. Galaxy Holding was awarded the title of “Responsible Brand Enterprise in 2017” for its positive social commitment to build a good reputation in this area.

Providing financial aid to students and making it a habit

In 2008, a 8.0-magnitude earthquake hit Wenchuan, Sichuan. In addition to donating 6.66 million RMB to the ravaged area for the construction of make-shift houses, Galaxy devoted itself to the reconstruction of Chengguan No.1 Primary School, Wen County. In May 2010, the new 1,500-student classroom building, in which Galaxy invested nearly RMB 9 million, passed acceptance inspection. At the time of inspection, it had already become an exemplary project in the county.

From Shenzhen to Guangzhou, from Huizhou to Changzhou, from Wen County, Gansu, to Lankao County, Henan, Galaxy has built more than 10 schools across the nation. At the same time, Galaxy has worked with South China Normal University and other elite schools and brought in many high-quality educational resources. In August of 2016, the construction of Longgang Yabao Primary School Affiliated to South China Normal University was completed. Subsequently, this cooperation model was also established in Huizhou, Guangzhou, and other regions.

Promoting the public good and giving back to society

In December 2017, a donation ceremony for "Galaxy Preferential and Compensating Funds", which was established by Galaxy Holding Group, was held in Beichen District, Tianjin. Working with the government of Beichen District and the Beichen District Charity Association, Galaxy has set up a special 10 million RMB fund to be used to donate money to improve the living conditions, medical care, and retirement incomes of the recipients of government relief, such as elderly veterans, families of veterans killed in action, and disabled soldiers, ensuring that they can live stable lives in their later years. Beichen District’s Party Committee leaders spoke highly of Galaxy's philanthropic acts.

The establishment of Galaxy Preferential and Compensating Funds is also a microcosm of Galaxy's philanthropic acts over the past three decades. In 2002, Galaxy donated 10 million RMB to the Shenzhen Red Cross Society. Subsequently, Galaxy donated 30 million RMB to Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province, and it founded Chulong Innovation Fund to support the construction of culture, sports, education, and other basic projects in the city. In accordance with its philosophy of "spreading the seeds of benevolence far and wide", Galaxy has invested more than 600 million RMB in charitable and religious organizations, and it has donated more than 1 billion RMB to help students.
